He has served as a staff physician at the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center Emergency Department since 1980. He is a member of the California Medical Association and the California Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (CAL/ACEP), where he served as President from 1989-1990. He is also an American College of Emergency Physicians Fellow and an American Board of Emergency Medicine Diplomate. Dr. Curry is from Dallas, Texas, and attended Stanford University. He received his medical degree from Harvard University Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center. He is currently CEP America's Chief Business Officer, as well as a staff emergency physician at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, California. Dr. Kloth is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors, served on the Executive Committee of the Board, and acted as Chairman of the Finance Committee for CEP America. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and completed a mixed medicine internship at Harkness Community Hospital and Medical Center in San Francisco. He was a Medical Epidemiologist at the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta and trained in Family Practice at Shasta General Hospital in Redding, California (part of the UC Davis program). Before joining CEP America, Dr. Tom was a faculty member at Stanford University Medical School, Division of Emergency Medicine. He has participated in numerous medical organizations, including the International Medical Corps, Bosnia and Emergency International, where he served as long-term project coordinator for the China Project. Dr. Tom holds a bachelor's degree in Medical Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a medical degree from Harvard Medical School, where he co-founded the Asian Health Organization. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and was a Kaiser Fellow in Health Policy and Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He earned a Baccalaureate in Physiology at the University of California, San Diego and attended medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where he graduated with the honor of Excellence in Emergency Medicine. Since he joined CEP America in 1996, he has served in numerous leadership roles including as Assistant Medical Director at Inland Valley Hospital, start-up Medical Director at Pioneers Memorial Hospital in Brawley, California beginning in 1999, and since 2003 as Medical Director at both at both Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, California, and Pomerado Hospital in Poway, California. Dr. Rivas was the recipient of CEP America's San Diego Regional Physician of the Year award in 2000. Dr. Rivas has been a member of the CEP America Board of Directors since 2002, when he was elected as one of the youngest Board Members in CEP America history. He is also a member of the Palomar Pomerado Foundation Board of Directors since 2005. Dr. Rivas played an integral role in the development of a new hospital site for Palomar Medical Center by raising the community's awareness of ED overcrowding, which led to the passing of the $496 million bond needed to fund the project. Since 1996, he has given lectures at various universities and conferences in 20 countries throughout Africa, East Asia/Oceana, Europe, Middle East, and North America and has published more than 50 papers on emergency medicine and disaster medicine topics. In addition to being the latest addition to the CEP America Board of Directors, he is also the Medical Director at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose. Before working at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Dr. Arnold was the Medical Director and later Chief Medical Officer at Natividad Medical Center in Central California. Dr. Fields is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a fellow and councilor of the American College of Emergency Physicians. A Past President of CAL/ACEP, he continues to chair EMPAC in California and is active on the board of NEMPAC. He has won the Ken Maddy Advocacy Award and Walter Edwards Meritorious Service Award from CAL/ACEP, the Master Clinician and Distinguished Service Award from CEP America, and was named a Hero with Heart by the Trauma Intervention Program. Double-boarded in Emergency and Internal Medicine, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of California, Los Angeles and his Emergency Medicine program at the University of Mississippi, where he was the Chief Resident. Prior to assuming his duties as Regional Director in January, 2010, Dr. Bass served as the Medical Director for the Emergency Department at Natividad Medical Center in Monterey County, CA. He was a leader in the Hospital's effort to regain financial health that included increasing their department's patient volume by over 50% in 4 years. Dr. Bass also played a key role in helping the Hospital build medical staff support for many of the changes necessary for restoring the Hospital's viability. His leadership in the Department decreased waiting times for patients from 6 hours to less than 30 minutes and patients left without being seen from 13% to less than 2%.

joined CEP in 1990 and has served as the ACC Board Liaison to the CEP America Board since 2004. She has been the Regional Director of the Ambulatory Care Center Region since January 2008. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences at the University of California - Davis. She then went on to earn her Masters Degree in Animal Behavior and her Medical Degree at the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Silver completed her Residency in Family Practice at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Southern California. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice. Currently she practices at both Saddleback Urgent Care Center in Mission Viejo and Lake Forest.
has been a CEP America Partner since 1997 and currently serves as Regional Director for the San Francisco/Peninsula Region. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors, Dr. Koury previously acted as the first chairman of CEP America's New Partner Committee. He serves on various hospital-based committees including chairman of the Emergency Department Performance Improvement Committee and chairman of the Interdisciplinary Practice Committee. He attended the University of Southern California, where he obtained his bachelor's in Biology, and earned his medical degree at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Koury completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia, where he served as Chief Resident and received the John P. McDade Award for "Research in Emergency Medical Care." He is an American College of Emergency Physicians Fellow.
joined the CEP America Partnership in 1999 and currently serves as Regional Director for the Orange County Region. She has held medical directorships in the emergency departments of Martin Luther King Jr. - Harbor Medical Center, Garden Grove Hospital and California Hospital. She completed her nursing degree at Harbor College, and practiced as a nurse for eight years in the Emergency Department at Harbor / UCLA Medical Center. She then went on to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at California State University, Long Beach. After much encouragement from her colleagues, Dr. Victor applied to medical school and attended Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Loma Linda University. Dr. Victor is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Victor has been recognized as a provider of "Excellence in Community Service" by the City of Garden Grove. She participates on the CEP America Compensation Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors.
